Bings (Jioufen, Taiwan)

What is it? Bing (Translation: cake, pastry) (Jioufen, Taiwan)
A bing is a general name for these pastries. There are different fillings for bings from savory to sweet (more common). A popular Taiwanese bing is Tai Yang Bing (translates to "Sun bing") - a sweet pastry.

Where to find it? The alleyway in Jioufen, Taiwan. Most areas in Taiwan sell bings because of how convenient they are.

Thoughts...
Bings are the equivalent to English pasties, Jamaican patties, Italian calzones, Mexican empanadas - you get the point. Bings crusts are flaky as the dough gets folded over numerous times to create the paper thin layers.
